• Usage Data & IP Addresses: We temporarily log IP addresses solely for the purpose of rate limiting and preventing abuse. We do not build user profiles based on IP addresses.
• Cookies: We use cookies for essential site functionality, and with your explicit consent, for analytics and advertising.

Note: We do not have user accounts, user registrations, or personal profiles.

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• File Processing: To execute the document conversions, modifications, or generations you request.
• Security & Rate Limiting: To protect our infrastructure from DDoS attacks and ensure fair usage for all visitors.
• Analytics: To understand how our tools are used and improve our services (via Google Analytics 4, subject to your consent).
• Advertising: To display relevant ads that keep our service free (via Google AdSense and PropellerAds, subject to your consent).

4. Client-Side Tools Disclosure (Privacy First)

Many of our tools operate entirely within your web browser. This means your data never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers. Tools categorized under the following sections are strictly client-side:

• US Tax & Business Forms: e.g., W-9 Form, 1099-NEC, Invoice Generator.
• Legal Documents: e.g., NDA Generator, Lease Agreements.
• E-Sign Tools: Visual signature placement is done locally.
• Utility Tools: e.g., Password Generator, Word Counter.

• Gotenberg: A self-hosted microservice for document conversion. No data is transmitted to external servers for this process.

7. Data Retention

Our data retention policies are strictly enforced:

• Uploaded Files & Generated Documents: Automatically and permanently deleted from our servers 30 minutes after upload or generation. No backups of user files are maintained.
• Task Records: Processing metadata is deleted along with the files after 30 minutes.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or port your personal data. Because we do not require registration and automatically delete all uploaded files within 30 minutes, there is generally no personal data retained on our servers that we can provide or delete upon request. However, you can manage your cookie preferences at any time through our CMP.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected.
• Request deletion of personal information.
• Opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with advertising partners if you have explicitly consented via our CMP. You can opt-out at any time using the "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link in our footer.

10. Children's Privacy

DocTools.CC is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
